It actually started the season before when Bama went 12-2. That was the beginning of this special run. They were 12-0 reg. season in 2008, and had UF down in the 4th qtr in the SECCG, let it get away. Then I think they had a hard time getting excited to play Utah, after coming so close to being in the BCSCG. Just my opinion….I don’t think Utah was a better team than Bama. I do think Bama was simply disappointed to be playing them.

This was the start of it all….

It got to be very hard watching your dreams slip through your hands. I give kudos to Tim and the Gayors though.

Alabama is such a phenomenal team.

I don’t have a problem with Florida per se, although their fans can be annoying when they are trying to figure out how to make Tebow walk on water. but you’re right, I can’t remember FL ever being undefeated and untied. Even the years they won the BCS they had a loss each year (FSU, Auburn, Ole Miss).

  8. Jeff2870 May 8, 2013 at 11:35 pm #

@ Reese Bauer: The Mighty Florida Gayturds. Never have had an undefeated, untied season in over 100+ years of football futility. Alabama has SEVENTEEN of those. Florida sucks.

oh, well too bad he’s not a qb

  10. Mike Forest May 8, 2013 at 11:47 pm #

At the NFL Combine in 2010, Tebow bench pressed 480 lbs.

  11. Fallen G May 9, 2013 at 12:33 am #

McClain has a bad rep in the NFL ..but after watching this…if he just had good coaching and got his mind right (which he should do in Baltimore with those players and staff) he should be good.

  12. Fallen G May 9, 2013 at 12:43 am #

that would be close to around 450lbs…doubt it.

  13. knightguy11 May 9, 2013 at 1:22 am #

    Ok chickee!

  14. Reese Bauer May 9, 2013 at 2:15 am #

I don’t. I’m just messing with you. Clearly you are taking things too seriously, so I will leave you to your ‘recent’ memories of FL greatness. Apparantly you don’t recognize sarcasm in others as easily as you dose it out yourself. Pretty much everything I’ve said to you has been joking and tongue-in-cheek. Sorry you can’t recognize that.

  15. knightguy11 May 9, 2013 at 2:16 am #

FYI: “dude” is my way of being sarcastic. I could care a less if you are a woman or not. What you are is annoying. I guarantee my wife knows more about football than you for sure. Go Gators!

  16. knightguy11 May 9, 2013 at 2:43 am #

Dude….why do you care what I consider recent history? I’m counting recent as the last 20 years. 20 years from now I will count recent history as the last 20 years. What is your problem. I could give a crap what you count as recent history. Grow up! Bama is a great football program. One of the top college football programs in the history of college football.

  17. Reese Bauer May 9, 2013 at 3:09 am #

which supports my idea to only count the last 4 years. I’ve been alive in that time span. Or should we count all the years that I’ve been alive, but nothing before that? Is that ‘current’? So if I was 65 or 70, ‘current’ would be all the seasons since the 1940′s. Actually, Bama comes out pretty well in that scenario. If I was in my 30′s, we could only count since the 1970′s. Yep, think I’d be ok with that too.

  18. Reese Bauer May 9, 2013 at 3:09 am #

FYI, not a ‘dude’. They do let women watch football in this country you know…

  19. knightguy11 May 9, 2013 at 3:32 am #

Yes….and also the time span that I’m alive, lol…you are funny dude!

  20. Reese Bauer May 9, 2013 at 4:11 am #

LOL. Of course you do….that is the time span that makes your team look best.

  21. knightguy11 May 9, 2013 at 4:42 am #

I think recent history is the past 20 years, but that is my opinion. Go Gators!

  22. Reese Bauer May 9, 2013 at 5:11 am #

I do understand that. Just because I don’t agree with you doesn’t make me incapable of understanding English. Counting Princeton’s titles is ridiculous because, well, calling the early days of football ‘unorganized’ would be the kindest word I could manage. So while I see the point you are making, I’m not sure it was the best comparison. Besdies, if we want to live in “today” then maybe we should only look at the last 3 or 4 years? i’d be ok with that…:-)

“They didn’t win the SEC in 1984, they were on probation. Sorry buddy!”

Yes they most certainly did, on the field. Pell got caught in some very naughty activity and the title was stripped. There’s a little AP article entitled “SEC Presidents Swipe Florida Of Football Title” that explains it more.
    Wrong again, silly Gator/Cane/Knight. ;)

  25. knightguy11 May 9, 2013 at 6:41 am #

We live “today”, so yea, I concentrate much more on recent history. Don’t you think that is pretty normal? Florida has more wins than any other college team since 1990. 12 BCS bowl games in the last 20 years. 3 National Titles in the last 20 years. I’m sorry if you don’t understand that. I could talk about Princeton’s 28 National titles if you like, lol.
